Future-proof Data Structure for Optimized Reporting
Challenge
"When we needed to phase out our previous tool and wanted to transition to Microsoft Power BI for future sales and management reporting, we needed help building a platform based on the right data structure. First and foremost, we needed to leverage the data we have to gain more insights. The platform also needed to provide more employees than before with an overview of how the business is performing. This included both senior management and branch managers.
In addition to results, we wanted to be able to follow up on the activities, products, and services we provide to our customers. This way, we could gain insight into what exactly generates more revenue and better customer experiences. From a design perspective, we needed to be able to continue working with the solution ourselves afterward and also incorporate more reports into it."
Solution
"Dataminds collected requests from the branches for each of the reports. These were then built with a design that is intuitive and easy to use, and that works every time you press a button. We are now in the process of integrating more reports and loading more data based on the knowledge we have gained within the organization. The goal was precisely to have flexibility in our own capabilities, which can then be supplemented with collaboration with Dataminds when there are challenges we cannot solve ourselves.
Given that branch managers have been involved in shaping the solution after an assessment of their needs, they can also better utilize the insights in their own daily work.".”
